Thinking of a post wedding party?? Good thinking!!

Here’s a little information about what I do for “Post Wedding Parties”

In 2005, I was playing at the Galway Races and as usual the craic up there was great. After the show, a couple asked me if I would play for them the day after their wedding at the home of the brides father. I had never done this type of gig before but a few phone calls later it was all confirmed and the following month I played my first “Post Mortum” just outside Killarney Co. Kerry and what a great night/morning it turned out to be.  I played about 4 hours on the night and all the guests were just in the mood for a good Irish session and that’s what they got.

They say word of mouth is the best advertisement” and this was certainly true in my case as since then I have done countless similar shows in Gardens, Marquees, Residence Bars in Hotels, Golf Clubs or simply back to the Grooms local Pub..

In November 2008 I was asked to play in the residence bar of the beautiful Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort, Co. Limerick. The couple preferred a live singer after the wedding band instead of a disco and so I agreed to play from 12.30am to 3am and once again we kept the session going with all the guests singing and dancing into the early hours. So much so infact that since then, Adare Manor always recommend me to couples enquiring about music to follow the main dance band. I have performed there a countless number of times for both Wedding and Corporate Events.

Bookings for Post Wedding Parties have brought me from some of Irelands finest hotels to some of it’s most welcoming homes .I have turned little village bars into a top class music and comedy venues just for a night. A marquee in Athlone nearly blew away, the race track in Thurlus flooded us and a shower of lads on the way CrokePark called in to Grangemockler and never made it to the match!! I keep the music lively and the show is always informal, intimate and above all entertaining and fun.. My credo is show up early for work, do a good job and give people more than their money’s worth.

Best of luck for now,

Liam.
