Wexford singer songwriter Liam J Byrne has just released an amazing new song that sounds like it was made for the summer of 2024.
“Country Girl At Heart” is a “roll down the windows and turn the volume up to 11 kind of tune”.
The song was wrote in response to a booking agent asking Byrne if he could “write something up-tempo with a country feel”.

Sprinkled with wistful lyrics and vibrant rhyming, the song almost transports the listener to another place, unless of coarse the listener happens to be in the middle of a big green field on a sunny day.
The song, with its driving rhythms, punchy drums and bass line and a super catchy chorus describes the characters girlfriend and her love of all things country.. the music, the clothes and especially the farming life.
